Onion, Potato & Curry Leaves Pakoda / Bajji

I always look forward for this for many reasons and one among them is to watch the my all time favourite movie "Roja". Dont tell me you all dont like this movie. I think this is nth time i have watched it and i can continue watching it :).

Also its a holiday and that means cooking special meals for the family ! so did this today.
Onion, Potato & Curry Leaves Pakoda / Bajji

Preparation Time: 15 min
Cooking Time: 20 min
Serves: 2-4
Difficulty Level: medium
Shelf life: Immediately
Served with: Coffee/Tea, Lunch

Ingredients

1 large onion
1 large potato/aloo
3 strands of curry leaves chopped/as is
Oil to deep fry

For the Batter

1/4 cup gram/ besan/chickpea powder
2 tbsp. rice flour
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. ajwain seeds
1 tsp. coriander seeds
1tsp. red chilli powder

Method

Cut the onion and potato into lengthwise and put it in a vessel along with the curry leaves. Add salt, red chilli powder and sugar and mix well, keep it aside for 5 minutes to get that juice from onion. Then mix the flours and mix well. Add 1/2 glass of water and make a dropping consistency batter. Then add ajwain seeds, coriander seeds and mix well.

Heat oil in a kadai, once smoke starting coming out add in the mixture your desired shape. Cook it medium flame till done.

Serve hot.
