Simple Tomato & Onion Salad

The best way to make my son to eat his lunch without any fuss is to make simple salad with youghurt/curd base. He loves that crunchy, sweet, tangy salads and has it as is. As a mother what else do you need if you son eats his food without fuss. I love the way my lil one tries to eat with his spoon and fork without spilling anything on himself and outside.

I had got this home grown cherry red tomatoes from my neighbour. Here is a simple salad recipe for that laid back lunches
Tomato & Onion Salad
(Tamato & Onion chopped and dressed with youghurt & spices)

Preparation Time: 10 min
Serves: 3

3 well riped Tomatoes
4 sambhaar onions

For the Dressing

1.5 cup curd (preferably home made no-sour)
1 tsp white pepper powder
1/2 tsp salt

For the Tampering

1 tsp oil
1 red chilli broken
1 tsp musturd seed
1 strand curry leaves

Chop the tomatoes and onion and put it in a vessel. Add salt and let it sit for 10 min which releases all the juice of the veggies.
Whisk the curd till creamy to avoid of lumps while mixing with the tomotes. Add the tampering and the pepper powder . mix well. Slowly add the dressing into the veggies and mix well.
Serve with steamed rice / any rice baths.
