Veg Noodles with Veg Balls in Garlic Sauce
(An Indo-Chinese Delicacy)

Preparation Time: 20 min
Cooking Time: 30 min
Serves: 4
Difficulty Level: Medium

Ingredients

250 gms Hakka noodles
Salt per taste
1/ 2 Vegetables juliennes
(Capsicum, cabbage, spring onion, bean sprouts, carrots)
2 tbsp tomato ketchup
1.5 tsp dark soy sauce
2 tsp chilli sauce
4-5 garlic cloves chopped
3 tsp oil

Method

Cook the noodles as per the packet instructions. Once cooked run under the cool water and add little oil mix well and keep it aside.
Take a wide angled pan and heat oil in it and add the garlic. Wait till it turns golden colour and then add all the vegetables and fry it in high flame till the vegetables wilt a little bit. Add all the sauces and the salt and continue to fry for a minute till everything comes together. Finally add the Noodles and with a help of a wooden ladle mix well and heat till noodles becomes hot.
Garnish it with spring onions and serve hot




Veg Balls in Garlic Sauce
(Veg balls deep fried and drowned in hot garlic sauce)

Preparation Time: 10 min
Cooking Time: 25 min
Serves: 4
Difficulty Level: Medium

Ingredients  

1 / 2 cup each mixed vegetables cut in small bite sizes
(Carrot, cabbage, beans, spring onions
3 tbsp corn flour
1 /2 cup bread crumps
Salt to taste
Oil to deep fry
1 /4 cup spring onions garnish

For the Garlic Sauce

6-7 cloves garlic chopped
1 tsp sugar
2 tsp corn flour
4 green chillies
1/ 4 cup spring onions
 2 cups of water
¼ cup ketchup
2 tsp soy sauce
2 tsp chilli sauce
Salt per taste
1 tsp white pepper powder

Method

Take a kadai and dry roast the vegetables for about 5 minutes and keep it aside. Once it is cooled down add salt, soy sauce, bread crumbs, corn flour and mix together everything if needed add little water and make lemon sized balls. Deep fry the balls and keep it aside;

Take a kadai add oil and chopped garlic. fry till it becomes brown add green chillies, soy sauce, tomato ketchup, water enough, whiter pepper powder, sugar and leave till it bubbles up. at last add the corn flour mixed with a  tsp of water and wait till it becomes little thick.  Remove from the flame;

Add the Veg balls just before serving to retain its crispness. Garnish it with chopped spring onions.

Serve hot with the Noodles.
